Foliage, una palette autunnale

Foliage, autumn in a palette

The term “foliage” commonly refers to the change in colour of the leaves in autumn, when they go from green to yellow, orange, red, and brown in countless shades, offering us a true natural spectacle.

These are precisely the most classic autumn colours, very often used in clothing as well. In particular, in children's clothing, which allows for more freedom in colour choices compared to adult clothing, we can have fun with all the shades of orange, yellow, red and brown, also adding some forest green and a shade of blue that evokes the clear autumn sky.

The palette I’m suggesting includes eleven colours, among those I prefer to use when designing autumn illustrations and patterns.

Leaves, mushrooms, chestnuts and small animals are among the subjects I prefer when designing autumn-themed graphics, such as the “Autumn in the woods” set, which is available for sale with a non-exclusive licence.

If you prefer an exclusive licence, take a look at the other graphics in the “Autumn” collection.
