Fatamadrina is a small graphic and design consultancy specialising in childrenswear and textile design, and I’m Barbara, the founder and designer behind it.
This website is dedicated to helping you discover my work and offering ready-to-use graphics for children’s clothing, as well as resources to support your creativity and your daily work.

Who are Fatamadrina’s website and services for?
Everything at Fatamadrina is designed for companies and professionals working in the childrenswear and textile industry: product managers, buyers, designers, graphic artists, stylists, manufacturers, and more.
By extension, my services may also be relevant to professionals creating graphics for children’s products outside the textile sector, such as childcare products, stationery, or giftware. All graphics are vector-based, so they can be scaled without losing quality.

Do you need a vector file you can customise?
All graphics include the original editable vector files (Adobe Illustrator and/or Affinity by Canva), allowing you to modify colours, add text, and more.

Do you need some professional guidance to create a custom graphic for your children’s products?

About the files
How are Fatamadrina files structured?
Vector files (.ai and .af) are organised using artboards and layers. Different colour variations are separated into different layers, making it quick and easy to create alternative versions and adapt the design to your colour palette.
What do you receive after purchase?
Once your purchase is complete, you’ll immediately receive a download link for one or more compressed folders containing your products.
Each graphics folder includes several files in different formats. Typically, you’ll receive:
- the vector file (.ai and .af), containing the artwork and colour palette
- the artwork in JPG format
- the artwork in PNG format with transparent background
These are the core files, though contents may vary slightly from product to product. Each product page always includes a detailed specification section so you know exactly what you’ll receive after purchase.

A few words about licensing
Exclusive licence
The exclusive licence is similar to an extended commercial licence: if you purchase a product under this licence, it becomes yours only.
That product will be sold once and will not be offered again in the future.
You may use the purchased artwork without time limits or production quantity restrictions.
Non-exclusive licence
The non-exclusive licence also comes with no time or production quantity limits.
Products with this licence are significantly more affordable because the graphics remain available on the website and may be purchased by other clients.
Also products with a non-exclusive licence include editable vector files, so you can still customise the artwork to make it unique.
Trusting someone you don’t know isn’t easy

Fatamadrina may be a recent project, but I, Barbara, have been working in the fashion industry for decades.

How does purchasing work?
Anyone can browse the products, but to make a purchase you must be a registered user (to register, go to this page and follow the instructions).
To purchase a product, click on its image, add it to your basket, and proceed to checkout.
After payment, you’ll receive a download link both in your account and by email.
Will I receive a physical product?
No, all products are digital.
Does the purchase include editing services?
If you mean design modifications, no. Products are supplied as they are, and any design changes must be made independently.
However, if you need help adapting dimensions or colours and don’t have the time or technical skills, I can assist with:
- resizing PNG files to suit your printing requirements
- adapting colours to your palette (up to three variants) — available only for products purchased with an exclusive licence
- preparing separate PNG files for each colour — available only for products purchased with an exclusive licence
I also always provide email support for questions, communication, and any technical issues with files or downloads.
What can I do with the purchased products?
Each purchase includes both the ready-to-use artwork and the editable vector file, allowing you to adapt the graphics to your needs.
For example, you can:
- use your own colour palette
- modify the text (when editable)
- combine elements from different artworks
- use only part of the design
What am I not allowed to do?
While small modifications are permitted, you may not:
- use the graphics in unlawful, offensive, or immoral contexts; remember their primary purpose is for children’s products
- resell or transfer the products as standalone assets to third parties outside a larger project
- upload the graphics to print-on-demand platforms
- use the graphics to train AI models by requesting outputs such as “Create an image in the style of...”
Are the graphics created with AI?
No. All graphics sold on Fatamadrina are conceived and created without the use of generative AI.
How long can I use the purchased images?
There are no time limits on the use of purchased images.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes. You can choose bank transfer during checkout.
Immediately after placing your order, contact Fatamadrina to receive bank details. Then make a transfer for the total amount of your order, including the order number (#FM-xxxx) in the payment reference.
Once the payment reaches my bank account, I’ll send you the download link for your purchased products.
If you purchase an exclusive product, it will be temporarily removed from sale to prevent someone else from buying it in the meantime.
If you purchase a consultation package, I’ll contact you as soon as payment is received.
Can I buy store credit for future purchases?
Yes. You can add store credit to your account and use it for future purchases.
Simply make a bank transfer to our account and include the following payment reference:
“Store credit request for account (insert your account details)”.
Once the transfer is received, I will issue store credit for the corresponding amount.
Your available credit will be visible in your account under Profile.
It will also appear among the payment options during checkout.
This is especially useful for companies that want to allocate a budget for employees to use for purchases.
